Networked systems focus on connecting independent computers for communication and resource sharing, where users are aware of individual nodes. Networked systems has low transparency. Users know they are accessing specific remote machines (example is using FTP or logging into a specific server).

Single-processor systems uses one main CPU to execute instructions, managing tasks via rapid context switching to simulate concurrency, often relying on special-purpose I/O processors for efficiency. They offer advantages in simplicity, security, and lower hardware costs compared to multiprocessors, though they are limited to executing one user process at a time.

I am Calvin, studying MIS at UPOU. Nice to meet you!
